Do you have oily and acne-prone skin like me?

I have extremely oily and sensitive skin for years. Acne outbreaks have been with me for ten years now but in recent months, it has been quite toned down. I'm extremely delighted to have a clearer face without worrying what someone else got to say because having acne problem for such a long time, I can't say I'm actually immune to comments made by others. Even if I try to not let it affect me, I'm still human and I can feel. Overtime, anybody's self-esteem would have been dented.
So I looked back at the past months and compared these past few months and the past few years. I realised I have done a few things differently. I have been seeing many different dermatologist over these past 10 years and the one that I'm currently seeing has been the best out of them all. As I have said, I have extremely sensitive skin so I cannot be careless on the type of skincare products I use. I usually don't use commercialized brands just to be on the safe side because I never know if I would develop any kind of allergies towards them. The clinic that I now visit is NIKS Professional. They provide quite a range of products catering to different skin types. I must say their facial wash is very suitable for extremely sensitive skin! And you can simply purchase their skincare products online at an affordable price! The one that I'm using is called Ultrafine Soothing Cleansing Lotion. Next, just apply their Aroma Acne Clear Gel. It is used to soothe and calm inflamed acne or pimples and dislodge blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps prevent future breakouts. Then I would use Intensive Barrier Repair Cream. Lastly, on a bright sunny day, which is usually the case for Singapore, apply their Gentle Sun Protect SPF 50+/PA+++ It is non-stinging, non-migrating, non-greasy and fragrance free.

For me, once I visit a doctor, they would prescribe tons of skincare products and antibiotics or oral medication. Oral medication seems to be the fastest and most recommended way but that's something I will never know because I have never tried oral medication or intend to anyway. Maybe that's why acne problems stuck with me for so so long. But I would still have preferred not ingesting oral medications; side effects can be scary sometimes, no matter how the doctor assures that it's mostly safe. Because I have very sensitive skin, it is really hard to tackle my acne problem. Applying antibiotics on my face actually makes my face very red so I have stopped them altogether all the step 1 to 9 to just the above few steps. The redness stopped too which I was very glad.

I have stopped eating biscuits or chocolates and stayed away from fried food too. My complexion is becoming better though on certain occasions, there would be one or two breakouts but I guess it's inevitable considering my skin type is oily too. But the frequency of such outbreaks has been lowering. Thank goodness!  I am learning ways of detoxification so that the day when I can finally say goodbye to acne would be soon!
Stay tuned for more of my posts!
